A study conducted by researchers at Penn State University found that consuming an avocado a day led to significant improvements in overall diet quality for participants. The group eating an avocado daily increased their adherence to dietary guidelines and consumed more produce, while also replacing less healthy food options. Avocados were used as a substitute for foods higher in refined grains and sodium.
