Toyota announced its plans to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) development in China, collaborating closely with suppliers Denso and Aisin to expedite powertrain development and engaging in local design and development of smart cockpits. The company aims to reduce manufacturing costs by establishing a local supplier base and intensify its development of battery-powered vehicles, plug-in hybrids, hybrids, and fuel cell cars to achieve carbon neutrality (Tech).
