Square Enix is undergoing restructuring under new President Takashi Kiry, leading to the departure of long-serving Dragon Quest producer Yu Miyak. Miyak will now head up Square Enix's mobile games division. The changes aim to help the company rely less on external resources and focus more on in-house productions. Recent losses in the JRPG industry include the passing of Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayami and artist Akira Toriyama. Despite these losses, there have been notable releases such as LAD: Infinite Wealth, FF7: Rebirth, and Dragon's Dogma 2.
