Nuclear Throne Developer Vlambeer Returns, Now Solely Owned by Co Founder Jan Willem Nijman


Dutch indie developer Vlambeer has been revived, and long-cancelled shmup Ultrabugs will finally be released.

Vlambeer, the studio behind Nuclear Throne and Luftrausers, is making a comeback under the sole ownership of co-founder Jan Willem Nijman. Nijman will release new games under the Vlambeer name while continuing to support older releases. Ultrabugs, a score attack shmup that was being developed at the time of Vlambeer's demise, will finally be released. Co-founder Rami Ismail sold his share of the company and is focusing on different projects outside of Vlambeer's aesthetics.
