Elon Musk's Neuralink has made history by enabling a paralyzed man, Nolan Arbaugh, to tweet and play chess using only his mind. The achievement, described as "using the force," was possible due to Neuralink's brain implant technology which monitors and stimulates brain activity. Arbaugh, who received the chip after being paralyzed in a diving accident, now has cyborg abilities to control various devices using only his mind. Although challenges remain, Musk announced initial results showing promising neuron spike detection. Arbaugh was also able to play Mario Kart with the implant. Neuralink's device, implanted into the skull, uses microscopic wires to detect neuron activity and transmit a wireless signal. Human trials began in May 2023, despite concerns over regulatory oversight.
